  i seldom post here, though i read the posts here daily.

  i spend most of my time just growing older.

  (i became a witness in 1948, so you can guess my age.

  Rutherford's death and "the evil servant"

  i became a witness a few years after rutherford died, so i know little about the events right after his death.

  i found this in the march 1942 informant:.

  "the effort of the demons is to scatter the lords sheep and to wean and lure them away from the lords theocratic organization and thereby cause them to fail of performance in the lords strange work.

  some of you followed the truthhistory blog until it shut down due to some form of harassment.

  it's back up and running, though there is only an announcement so far.

  i'm glad to see them back on a public blog.

  They're Back

  when the watchtower history blog (truthhistory.blogspot.com) people stopped posting on the public site because of harassment issues, apparently from someone using the brooklyn bethel ip address i got access to the private site.

  i noticed today that they have now opened it up to public view, saying that the harassment issue was resolved.. the new history blog is here: http://towerhistory.blogspot.com.

  this is the best and most detailed material i've seen.

  i've been following the truthhistory.blogspot.com watchtower history blog almost since it was started.

  it's probably the only authoritative web site dealing with early watch tower history.

  the blog owner has just published a history of nelson barbour, one of russell's first associates.

  an article on barbour appears in journal from the radical reformation, which a blog site describes as a historical journal published by atlanta bible college.

  i contacted the authors.

  it is interesting, but copyright protected.

  the research on barbour is remarkable.

  the individual who runs the site has posted photos i've never seen before.
